Why RoamDawn exists

Most travel advice answers the wrong question first. It tells you what to see before it tells you when to go — and for a lot of destinations, timing changes everything. A city that feels magical in May can feel unbearable in August. A coastline that's empty and golden in October is standing-room-only in July. RoamDawn exists to answer the timing question first, then the itinerary question second.

What we cover

Rather than trying to cover every country on Earth thinly, we've deliberately kept the destination list short: Japan, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and Norway. Each guide is built around one practical question — the best season, the best cities, or the best route — and researched with the goal of being useful to someone actually booking flights, not just browsing for inspiration.

How we write

Every guide on this site is written specifically for RoamDawn, not repurposed from a press kit or stitched together from other articles. We'd rather publish fewer guides that hold up than a large volume of generic ones. When a guide needs updating — a season shifts, a new route opens — we update the published date rather than leaving stale advice live.
